Please note: from the 1st December the way in which you order your prescriptions online is changing. Clicking on the Repeat Prescription button will direct you to the Systmonline website where you will be required to enter a user name and password.
Please visit the surgery to request your personal login details to continue to access online repeat prescription ordering. Thank you.
Please order your repeat prescriptions well before you run out of your medicines. If you are on regular medication you may order repeat prescriptions. Requests can be made by fax, post, in person (we cannot accept telephone requests) or by following the link on this page to the online form and carrying out the simple, one-off registration.
Prescriptions can be collected 48 hours later . or arrangements can be made to collect prescribed items from our local pharmacy Busby’s. Please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope if you need us to post your prescription to you.
Repeat Dispensing Scheme is a scheme which enables patients to be issued with up to one year’s supply of repeat prescriptions which are cashable with a named pharmacy (the patient will be given a list of pharmacies participating on the scheme). The patient then deals direct with their pharmacy whenever they require more medication. If you think you could benefit from this scheme please discuss it with your doctor.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
