Grove Park Terrace Surgery is a registered Yellow Fever vaccination centre and can offer most travel vaccinations although some vaccines will need to be ordered in specially.
If you are travelling and require travel vaccinations you will need to make an appointment at least 6-8 weeks in advance of your departure date with a nurse who will carry out a risk assessment and establish what you require. After this has been done you can book an appointment to have the vaccinations.
If you are travelling at short notice or have not had the telephone advice please tell the receptionist that you require vaccinations and you will need a 30 minute appointment. We can administer some at short notice but it may not be possible to do all as some involve a course of several injections. In this case, the nurse will decide what we can safely offer.
Some vaccines are free and some are chargeable. Please check with reception for individual prices. All chargeable vaccines will need to be paid for in advance by cash or card
Malaria tablets are not available on the NHS but can be purchased from a pharmacy
If you request vaccinations too close to your departure date we may be unable to vaccinate you in which case we will direct you to a private travel clinic.
Here's a checklist of the vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them.
